Ashwagandha Root (Essentra) - We use the patented form of ashwaganda root called Essentra which is an adaptogen that has been shown to boost the body's resistance to anxiety and fatigues, without any stimulant effect. Great to use to take the edge off high caffeine levels.

Epimedium Extract (Horny Goat Weed) - This herbal energizer is a potent stimulator of nitric oxide that can boost sexual energy. Epimedium also enhances recovery from exercise by positively affecting cortisol levels.

Cha' De Bugre - Cha' de bugre has many properties and traditional applications in common with Ephedra, but unlike Ephedra, it has a positive impact on the heart. Looking at the scientific properties of Cha' de bugre, Dr. G.L. Cruz's book, Dictionary of Plants Used in Brazil, Cha' de bugre is recommended as an excellent diuretic and weight loss aid, as well as a good general heart tonic which can help to stimulate circulation.

Panax Ginseng - This extract is a commonly utilized in the energy drink industry. The main active components of Panax ginseng are ginsenosides, which have been shown to have a variety of beneficial effects, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and energizing effects.

Green Tea Extract - While green tea is a well known and very popular energizer, green tea extracts have come a long way in the past few years. The extract we use is a high EGCG (the high antioxidant component) which has an affinity to enhance brain function and produce elevated levels of the energizing neurotransmitter norepinephrine. The xanthines (caffeine components) also provide an even greater energizing effect in the energy drink.

Maca Root - Scientific studies are gradually confirming the effects attributed to this plant. Maca Root is considered one of the plants with the highest international development potential due to its ability to stimulate and regulate the endocrine system, support the immune system, increase energy, stamina and endurance, reduce chronic fatigue, and enhance libido. Maca is going to be a big hit in the private label energy drink development in a very short time.

Yerba Mate - For a smooth energy lift and a wonderful compliment to caffeine containing herbs, yerba mate has been used for centuries to help extend the energizing effects. Xanthine, theophylline and theobromine are three strongly related alkaloids found in Yerba Maté and are the most interesting compounds from a therapeutic standpoint.

Theobromine - Theobromine belongs to a class of alkaloid molecules known as methylxanthines. Methylxanthines naturally occur in as many as sixty different plant species and include caffeine (the primary methlyxanthine in coffee) and theophylline (the primary methylxanthine in tea). Theobromine is the primary methylxanthine found in products of the cocoa tree, theobroma cacao. Theobromine is another class of caffeine type chemicals that help extend the life of caffeine in any beverage.
